Port Rotterdam Ongoing Strike Update 🚢

Ongoing labor strikes by lashers at the Port of Rotterdam—Europe’s busiest container hub—have temporarily slowed cargo operations. The strike, driven by wage negotiations, has created a short-term backlog of vessels awaiting service. Port authorities and carriers are working to minimize disruption and reroute shipments as needed, with nearby ports like Antwerp stepping in to help ease congestion.
