Striking U.S. dockworkers on the East and Gulf Coasts will return to work this Friday after reaching a tentative agreement with employers. The proposed deal includes a significant 62% wage increase.
This offer is valid for the next 90 days. If a final agreement isn’t reached within that timeframe, the proposed wage hike will be withdrawn.
The International Longshoremen’s Association, representing 45,000 workers, has confirmed an extension of the Master Contract until January 15, 2025, allowing more time to negotiate on other outstanding issues.
